Positive Thinking vs. Negative Thinking:
Positive Thinking vs. Negative Thinking:
Many of us have been known to swear, scream, or throw something from time to time. Why are we likely to display these actions? There is a three-step process to negative thinking or actions.
First, we hear, see or get negative statements. This information enters our minds. We may not think too much of it at first, but, then we notice ourselves saying, repeating and visualizing what we just heard.
This is step two. Don’t believe me? Try making a negative statement around a kid. Do you think they will repeat it? I am sure there are many things you do not want your children hear. Why? Are you afraid they may be influenced? Why don’t you allow your children to watch certain television programs or listen to certain music? Could it be that you don’t want your kids to become what they are hearing and viewing? I think so.
The same applies to you. You will start thinking and making statements based on your experiences.
Third, we act out what we hear and say. If you tell yourself that, you are “forgetful” or “stupid” etc. then it is a matter of time before you start acting out what you have been thinking and stating.
Why do I bring this up? I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with a Champion motorcycle racer. He stated that he races during the season and teaches racing and Mind control during the off-season. Their major focus is positive thinking. He went on to say that, he became a champion racer by following a systematic process thinking and behaving. Positive statements and visions only.
We went out for breakfast and the sever asked us for our order. “Oh my goodness, I better get a pen and pad otherwise I will forget everything!” He quickly stated, “do you see? She will forget because she told herself she would forget. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.”
You can become a better life partner, friend, worker and over all person by changing the way you think. You will look at the process of life, love, school, training, goal setting and business in a different way. In fact, you should become more conscious about what you think about as often as you can…we see all words in pictures…make sure the one you see is the one you want!!
